Hey Phil,
Phil from Canada here. Ages since I've been in touch, soz. Sorry to hear of your retirement from racing. Congratulations though, on a wonderful and hard fought career. Interesting, I had to retire in 2006 after breaking my neck (not paralyzed thank god but had to have an artificial disk put in my neck, cervical 5/6) and guess what else? fully torn through and torn off Supraspinatus rotator cuff tendon. I just had surgery five weeks ago to reconstruct my shoulder and an acromioplasty (they shave the "hook" of the shoulder blade off to allow more room for the tendons to slide). So here I am three years later, hopefully almost fixed. Canadian health care is about as quick as back there. I know what you're going through Wizzer! I can never ride again. I was actually watching a video on you tube that made me think of my Welsh friends (used to race Enduro all over Wales regularly). Check out "Safety Fail" on you tube, the Indian guy laying down on his bike on the highway. Listen to the Dudes filming in the car...lol. Classic. Anyways, take care my friend. Hope you get the shoulder stabilized soon. Regards,
Phil. S.
